Ceremony

A wedding ceremony is one that is held in a place of worship, where vows are exchanged and the bride and bridegroom promise each other to stay together for eternity. A ceremony is the place where the actual marriage happens and it is here that the bride and bridegroom consider themselves as finally married. Flowers used to decorate such ocassions only add joy to the already happy moment of getting someone who will hold their hand for lifetime.Flowers used in Churches, Chapels and Civil Ceremony Rooms are the best not kept loud and vibrant in color. Here depending on the color of the outside structure and interiors, you need to add flowers that blend in a little and even add a little contrast. For example if the interior of the Chapel is white then it would be visually pleasing to have flowers in the shades of a light purple, yellow and pink with mild shades of greens to add some contrast. This will also go well incase you choose to include ribbons of gold or silver or white. If the chapel is built with black stone then blue and yellow flowers will look pleasing kept on some of the outside walls.

Mentioned below are the most common spots meant for flower decoration. The entrance and the door: On either side of the entrance, you can place a stand holding a bouquet and place a wreath on the door. The flowers may have some greens to blend in with the enterance.

Pews: Here you can just place a small basket tied with ribbon and a few short stemmed flowers that will make the aisle pretty.

Altar: The front of the altar may have flowers forming a design such as inter connected wedding rings and with two bouquets of flowers kept on the top.

Guestbook: There can be a small bouquet kept near the guestbook, which can either be white or a lighter shade of yellow to match the pages. You would need to make sure that the bouquet does not wet or stain the guestbook.

Ceiling: you may also try suspending big round ball like flowers from the ceiling using a fine fishing line. The legth of suspension may vary but should not have too much of variation.

Flowers will only add more color, charm and tranquility to an already pure occasion. They will make the entire ceremony pleasing and harmonize the setting with their elegance and fragrance.
